75 Newland Road could be The Globe Public House? One of my Grandmother Annie's
haunts. I remember my mum saying that she used to have to go to the Globe (they lived close by on several occasions - but thats another story!) with a large enamelled Jug to be filled with beer which my Gran would put a red hot poker in.
